When it comes to printed marketing materials for your business, you likely regularly invest in business cards, flyers and possibly even leaflets. However, most businesses aren't actively using stickers to market their businesses, and I think they're missing a trick. Although stickers might seem like a bit of a gimmick, the truth is that they can offer a fantastic way for you to market your business and also raise a huge amount of brand awareness. Most companies don't invest in stickers as they don't see any use for them, but in reality, there are a vast number of different uses for stickers that are likely to generate a good ROI for you (and your business).
One of the best and simplest uses for stickers that is often overlooked is that they can easily be used to build brand awareness. Let's say you give a sticker to every customer you have; chances are that they'll soon start appearing all over the place, which will, in turn, get your brand's message and logo seen by an even bigger audience.
If you make sure your stickers are cool and that people would want to stick them to their items, you'll save a lot of money on building your brand. Apple is one company that previously utilised stickers for this purpose. Up until a few years ago, every Apple product would include a few Apple stickers inside the box. These stickers used to end up in all kinds of places: on laptops, on suitcases, on people's desks, everywhere. This helped spread the word about Apple, and people loved them because they were cool stickers. This is something that just about any business can do with a bit of creativity.
Moreover, stickers are highly affordable to purchase and, therefore, often yield a substantial return on investment for most businesses. So, next time you're thinking about buying flyers, leaflets or even business cards for your business, ask yourself, "Is there a better option? Could I be doing this in a more creative way using stickers?"

Non-White Substrates
- Spot Colours developed for non-white substrates (e.g. Kraft or backside substrates) must be appropriately designed to manage the brand expectations, operational efficiency, and run-to-run consistency. All inks developed for this printing condition maintain a minimum amount of opaque additives to achieve your colour expectations and maintain printability requirements.
- Inks developed using the above method often affect the substrate's colour intent. If opacity requirements exceed the above specification to achieve the desired colour, the customer must consider printing white under the spot colour.
- Printing white ink requires different approaches depending on Flexo and offset. The sheet-fed offset requires UV curing, the web offset requires UV/EB curing, and the Flexo is wet-trapped. These approaches are location-dependent and have varying print capability requirements.
Proofing Expectations Proofs provided to BPP for colour must adhere to the below conditions:
- Spot Colours: BPP strongly suggests using a proofing RIP that leverages a spectral proofing engine and has a track record of providing a visual colour match for spot colours overprinting or interacting with other spot or process colours.
- Spot Colour Dot Area: BPP requires all dot gains associated with spot colours to be measured and adhere to linear SCTV (spot colour tone value). Please refer to ISO 20654 and/or the proofing vendor for details on achieving this specification.
