Why Raised Spot Printing Creates a Solid First Impression
Spot UV Business cards should be part of your self-presentation. These eye-catching 90 x 55mm bits of 350- 420 GSM paper contain all the imperative contact data expected to catch your prospect's attention and help you stay in their memories well after your initial meeting. Today, contacts likewise expect business cards. They can enhance your believability and authenticity, giving your prospect a superior impression of your polished skills.
They are Promoting Apparatuses
There's no denying that face-to-face communication, coupled with a firm handshake, is one of the most effective ways to promote your business. Business cards are an excellent tool as they can always be carried with you. They are a valuable marketing tool to help you develop and maintain new customer relationships for future business opportunities. You never know when you might encounter a potentially valuable prospect, so it's always best to be prepared. By keeping a stack of business cards on hand, you'll be ready to showcase your business whenever the opportunity arises.
They Help Build a Brand
Business cards are a straightforward approach to establishing your image, which in turn makes your business more easily recognised. A fruitful card should contain your organisation's logo, advertising trademark, and fundamental contact details, including a telephone number, website address, and email address where you can be easily reached. Remember that just because your business card is produced using paper, it does not mean it is technically knowledgeable. Numerous entrepreneurs now use QR codes on their cards that can be scanned by a cell phone to direct clients to the business's website or online social media page.
They are Economical
Organisations can print business cards for less than it costs to deliver various advertising materials, such as advertisements, press units, and product tests. When the cost is so low and can effortlessly fit into any business spending plan, why not keep business cards close by? A business card with an enticing outline is a fantastic tool for gaining momentum.
As an entrepreneur, one of the biggest mistakes you can make is underestimating the importance of a quality business card for your brand identity and business development. While online marketing has become increasingly popular among business professionals, traditional marketing methods remain effective. Your business card can be your first impression and directly reflects how potential prospects and clients perceive your business. A well-designed and high-quality business card can create a positive and lasting impression, while a cheap or poorly designed one can leave a negative impression. Therefore, investing in a quality business card that accurately represents your brand and positively impacts your potential clients is essential.

Non-White Substrates
- Spot Colours developed for non-white substrates (e.g. Kraft or backside substrates) must be appropriately designed to manage the brand expectations, operational efficiency, and run-to-run consistency. All inks developed for this printing condition maintain a minimum amount of opaque additives to achieve your colour expectations and maintain printability requirements.
- Inks developed using the above method often affect the substrate's colour intent. If opacity requirements exceed the above specification to achieve the desired colour, the customer must consider printing white under the spot colour.
- Printing white ink requires different approaches depending on Flexo and offset. The sheet-fed offset requires UV curing, the web offset requires UV/EB curing, and the Flexo is wet-trapped. These approaches are location-dependent and have varying print capability requirements.
Proofing Expectations Proofs provided to BPP for colour must adhere to the below conditions:
- Spot Colours: BPP strongly suggests using a proofing RIP that leverages a spectral proofing engine and has a track record of providing a visual colour match for spot colours overprinting or interacting with other spot or process colours.
- Spot Colour Dot Area: BPP requires all dot gains associated with spot colours to be measured and adhere to linear SCTV (spot colour tone value). Please refer to ISO 20654 and/or the proofing vendor for details on achieving this specification.
